With a warm day they have started to show up.

The California Darners showed up first, followed by lots of eight-spotted skimmers, and now the first young Blue Dasher and a Western Pond hawk, and I believe a Cardinal Meadowhawk.
It seems to me that The Darners fly through the brush more, and tear up their wings faster than the other dragons.
These are all pretty heavy crops from frames taken at a distance. It seems that if I bring a long lens they are too close & Vice versa.

What a great set Vic! Very sharp. Beautiful shot of the Cardinal and the Eight-spots. We don't have either here in the East. It's been slow here until this week. I went to a great spot near the river by my house and I've still not seen a dragon there. Damsels everywhere but not one dragon. Very strange. Again, fine set! I believe your exuviae is a darner.
