And so it begins...
One of the big names in advertising - WPP -signed a multi billion dollar contract with Nvidia to develop AI for the advertising industry.
https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/wpp-partners-with-nvidia-to-build-generative-ai-enabled-content-engine-for-digital-advertising?ncid=em-news-172221#cid=ov01_em-news_en-usI've been invited by Nvidia to many conferences about Onmiverse: it is THE mega-generative AI: it consists of a parallel universe running on a supercomputer 24/7. Inside everything can be simulated and generated in 3D, even the laws of physics are respected (to the extent of the will of the user).
All creators and developers work together in the Omniverse from different locations of the world, they don'tt even need to meet in person.
So, WPP's future commercials and advertising photos will be generated inside such a system.. no models, no lighting, no actors, no cameramen, no costumes, no locations... just operators on a computer terminal and engineers.
Other will follow because the tech is cheap, CHEAP... the first tear (individuals), is even FREE.
What, in plain language, does that press release say?
If you want to read all about it including some of the possible ramifications have a read of the "Otherland" series (4 books about 800-900 pages each) written by Tad Williams starting about 1996.
I read the OP and thought all that sounds very familiar to the series which I am just over half way through.

Just what the OP said...The new AI technology will obviate the need to produce commercials and most product print ads with traditional methods. Everything/everyone associated with these efforts, in the past, will be replaced by AI controlled by techs trained to use the AI tools.
This will, to some extent, happen in the production of TV shows and movies.
Bottom line...many people and types of businesses will no longer be needed to do what was needed before AI.
That's why the writers are on strike. The directors may be near a new contract that reportedly will deal with a number of AI-related issues. SAG/AFTRA is next.

Professional photography was put on the endangered species list by smart phones.
Videography is probably going the same route, though a well shot and edited video still takes a lot of work (that many vloggers won't do, so Gresham's Law may apply there.)
