I will be up along the Lake Erie shoreline next month photographing sunrises/sunsets and birds in light. I have some locations in mind for the sunsets and sunrises but am looking for locations for BIF. I have been in the Marblehead Lighthouse area near Sandusky and found some marshes with herons, but am interested in other possible locations. I have done some quick research and found the Black Swap Bird Observatory, Howard Marsh and Magee Marsh among others. Any recommendations?

You can go to Ottowa wildlife sanctuary. It next to Magee Marsh.

Well , for one thing, you’ll be about a month late. Prime migration for birds is in May. We haven’t been there since Covid hit, but my wife and I used to go to PtPelee {Canada} on the north shore of Lake Erie on US Memorial Day weekend, and tended to arrive at the very end.
