Thinking about an old hobo I met

It was in the early 1950s when the old hobo came to the back door asking for food. Grandma fed him of course, she always did. He told us stories about the old days while he ate. When Pop wasn't looking grandma slipped him a silver dollar, a lot of money back then. I can still remember how he smelled.
