Only needs to go 1/4 mile between charges.

High HP electric motor is no big deal. The battery to power it is the big deal. I used to have to deal with 1500HP air compressor. The car seems small for the kind of battery needed for that motor? Perhaps long extension cord???
Or it run on rail like slot cars?

They can get enough battery juice no sweat....only need it for 3 seconds...or less.

Maybe 4 heats... 12 seconds of power.

The torque is already massive in rail cars...this must be off the charts that are already off the charts.

It should beat any combustible rail car.

The car is very long looking. Most likely to allow the front weight to act like a fulcrum to keep the car's front wheels in contact with the ground. With the amount of torque an engine like that would produce a shorter car would most likely do a 90-degree wheelie.

If it has on-board batterie(s), going fast isn't the problem. Going slow at the end is the problem. Don't think parachutes are going to stop it. Maybe they can dump unused momentum back into the battery.
