Oasis Academy vs Pahranagat Valley (NIAA 1A Semi-Final Playoffs)

Ok sports fans here is a story for you.
A couple of weeks ago I started to lose my pep and energy. I could tell because this is what's suppose to be the big state playoff games for both boys and girls, baseball and softball.
Instead of me shooting at least two games in a day, I could only mange but one.
It turns out I and the wife had Covid, no energy, no taste, no nothing. Mild cases I guess because we both had all our shots. Along with Covid for me I have COPD from smoking for over 50 years. Don't start that horrible habit thinking it's cool, it's not.
Anyway here are the shots from the last game I shot. I hope you enjoy them. I will start shooting again around August 18th.
Have a great summer.
Jules

Epic series Jules! You nailed some fabulous pivotal moments here, like the air borne ballerina in the first image...
And the spinning pitch delivery in the fifth capture in which the ball is hanging, crystal clear, in mid air...

Loving the electric blue face decor of he Oasis Academy team members... Not your typical bridal wedding makeup... lol

Trust that your immune system overpowers the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus ASAP... Great that you both had your entire series of COVID boosters. That should work minimize your down time... Lots and lots of rest and good old H2O. Please stay hydrated!

Thanks and my very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery Jules

These are super shots as you ALWAYS have. Say hi to Barb. Hope you two recover quickly. Do you have any idea where you caught Covid. Hope this wasn't too much for Barb after all she has been through. Yea I will start shooting in late August or early September. I need to get a little more healthy before then though, my Diabetic Neuropathy is keeping me from doing too much for too long. Well, hang in there my friend. You and Barb have a super summer (stay cool). Thanks BE SAFE!!

As usual an excellent series

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. My wife and I had it earlier this year. We had mild cases. No loss of taste. Mostly just very tired. We both have had all of our shots and will continue to get any recommended vaccines that come out in the future

Clean, crisp action - very well done!
A couple that grabbed my attention - the pitching arm in #1 looks like it could be an attachment to her body and I wonder how sticking the tongue out (#4) is going to affect the batter.

Great series Jules to end your photography season and you're already prepping for the new season. Hope you and Barb are doing better from Covid and wow about the smoking, I bet you kind of wish you knew those things back then.
Stay safe Jules. I totally took off from sports shooting 5 or 6 weeks ago (nearly 100 games on Maxpreps) and I'm just repainting a few rooms around the house (your old wheelhouse) and playing some PC games with the kids and solo.

Hi Rick: I was wondering where you went. I guess we all shoot a lot of games and the old body just starts to wear down and needs some rest.
I was repainting some rooms myself before this medical problem showed it's ugly head.
Yes if I didn't know all the problems when your 15 years old I would have never started this terrible habit. Be cool oops my mistake. Don't smoke friends, it's not good trust me.
Anyway have a great summer,
Jules

Hi Jules,

As Always great photos, Thank You for sharing.

Best wishes to get to feeling better soon.
Very sorry to hear your energy is low, get
lots of rest, and liquids.

Sorry to hear of the COPD, Thank God during my 83 year
plodding & waddling I have never smoke, and only Alcohol
Drinks on occasions.

I always stayed actived, Tennis, Swimming, Diving, Motorcyles, Running, etc.
And still old age caught up with me, especially in my
Back such that sadly it has hampered my mobility to
require a cane or walker.

You and Your Bride take care of yourselves.

And Be Blessed.

Tom

Hi Tom:
I am on the mend and feeling pretty good. Thank you for your concern, appreciate it.
Yes I will take the summer off for some rest. Just can't do things we did in our younger days I guess.
Take care and be well. You need some r and r too.
Jules
