Clever idea. I wonder how the paragraph gets entered.

"Alien spaceship landed on my lawn, and alien is approaching me." I wonder what it would do with that.

I guess it is not useful for creating macro "photos" of flowers and insect in your own yard.

I would not call what it produces a photograph or even a photo, which is commonly used as a shortened form of photograph. A better term for its product would be photo-realistic image.

Does it really exist?
Should be not a physical object but a program to generate images on command
Are there photos or technical descriptions or just a rumor?

Found this link
What is the camera made of?
The camera comes with a viewfinder that displays real-time descriptions of the current location. Once a user presses the trigger, it will create something known as a scintigraphic (a process that generates scans of the interiors of the human body) interpretation of the description in the paragraph.
Total nonsense!

It only works April 1st

I would like to know what others here think about this new way of making photographs.

I don't have strong feelings about this. It just doesn't interest me on a personal level one way or the other. But the response from the photography community has been of considerable interest.

I've written here before about becoming friends with a number of art teachers over the past 7 years (since I retired and became a substitute teacher. A few of them are still around; one with whom I'm fortunate to have remained oarticularly close now works at a noted art museum in a neughboring city.

What is interesting is that all but a couple of these folks believe just about the same about us as photographers as the most vocal photographers believe about the AI/virtual art folks. I'm not sure exactly what to draw from that except that it is very interesting. Of course, they are also very concerned about the potential impact of machine-generated "art." This concern extends across multiple dimensions.

I will say that the artists are handling their concerns much more rationally than the photographic community. Their blood pressure does not seem nearly as elevated. But they are working together to address some of their issues and concerns.

My inclination is to say that this is not photography. It is its own medium for expression. Whether it is art is to be determined by the viewers, if there are any. Who knows? Maybe it is an alternative to photography for those who struggle to learn the principles and the craft.
