Yep, I remember. Some stores were open on Sunday:
The Italian Bakery across from the RC church.
Tracy's Stationery Store - gotta get the Sunday funnies!
A nice thing was that we could use the shopping center parking lots to learn to drive.

5&10s:
My granny lived in Brooklyn. Her first job was in a Manhattan Woolworth's. She was quite proud of her first week's pay: 75¢ 😲

Finally, road maps never lose the GPS signal!

I went to college in Texas, and they had some strange Sunday blue laws. Some stores could be open on Sunday, but they could only sell "essential" items. No alcohol sales of course, but the one I remember is record albums couldn't be sold on Sunday.

They still have blue laws in Bergen county nj even the mall is closed a lot of states still have blue laws for selling cars on sunday

I remember when women were NOT allowed to sit at the bar. They could sit at a table and order drinks, but could never sit at the bar!! This was in New England.
