He and his mate were here last summer. We were told they would not show up very often, but here they are again.
I was never able to get a picture of him last year, but he's the first of the pair I caught this year. Had he shown up 10 minutes earlier, would have been in the sunlight. But, he was in the shade, and it took quite a bit of work to get this picture. The download looks much better. Late edit. I just realized the color is off. I have a sneaking suspicion. The wing bars should be black, not blue. Post processing gone bad?
At least you got the shot. Hopefully he will be back.
