Our last night in Egypt. We were treated to an after-hours visit to the Cairo Museum. Without the crowds of tourists, one very "spooky place" at night.

2. The Narmer Palette (3200BC-3000BC) - Commissioned by King Narmer to celebrate the unification of Egypt. It is ancient Egypt's founding document -- An unhappy event for some!

I like how you use the available light- you are "in charge".
Very nice work. It's a high priority for me to get to that museum one day.

Both sets are great. i sure would love to visit that museum!
Thanks for viewing & all your very kind comments:
The one thing I do really miss is having the camera in my hands & bag on my shoulder with all those incredibly interesting subjects to take shots of.
Is this the new Cairo Museum?

The Cairo Museum which we visited was built in 1902 --
At the time we were there the GEM (Great Egyptian Museum) had not yet opened --
It's located at the base of the Great Pyramids in Giza --
"Think" it's open now
Looks to be a lot better organized than it was back when we were there. Nice work!
Great set of images and tour Ken, thanks!
