Some of you may already know this but for those that don't. If you take a Photo with your IPhone using the "Portrait" mode you can change the blur as well as make other changes to your images later on.

1 First take photo using Portrait Mode. Make sure before taking the photo, the " Natural Light" box lights up yellow.
2. Then go to your Camera Roll on your phone and select that image. Notice when you click on it that there is the identifier " Portrait" in the top left of the screen. See image #1.
3. Now click on the " Edit" button Top Right of the Screen, See image#1
4. Now your screen should show the "F" icon top left. See image#2 If it actually show's an "Fstop number" then click on it to change it back to what's showing in Image # 2. Now there will be a slider down at the bottom where you can scroll left or right to change the blur in the DOF.

I’ve tried using the portrait mode on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but can’t get close up and keep a subject in focus. It just stays blurred. Any tips here? Then I could use your tips above.

Make sure the Natural Light box lights up yellow when you are within range. Try this first. Find something you want to take a Portrait image of. If the Natural Light box is not lit, slowly move closer to the subject matter until it lights up. You are now within range. You can continue moving closer to the subject. If the Natural Light box goes off you are too close, move slowly back until it lights up again. You can also try switching between the 1x and the 3x lens and moving back or forth.

Once you get the compostion the way you want it and when you are within the range, you can press anywhere on the screen where you want to lock focus and exposure. Then take the shot.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
