The Palouse 2023

Last Thursday I drove to the Palouse in southeast Washington State to see the green wheat. The most popular spot to view the patchwork green is from Steptoe Butte, the highest point for many miles. When I arrived around 5:30 in the afternoon there were two other photographers from Texas at the top of the hill. By the time I left just before sunset there must have been nearly a hundred photographers spread out around the top of the butte. It was a hazy day with a lot of dust and perhaps some Canadian forest fire smoke in the air. However, I managed to come away with some shots I like and wanted to share with others. This is my outlet for sharing. I'd be very interested in your thoughts. Thanks for taking a look.

Beautiful landscapes. Looks like a fine painting! It's nice to see the large panoramas along with the close ups.

Panoramas from Steptoe Butte are so beautiful. When I was there, it was early morning and I was the only one around! It's such a beautiful place.
