We’re currently on a trip taking us around Scotland and Ireland. My wife is capturing it all on her phone while I’m staying with my trusted PENTAX K50. We’ve intentionally captured many of the same images for comparison.
Don't keep us in suspense. Let's see some images please.
Of course, in the Photo Gallery, when edited and ready for comparison.
I'm jealous, but why go to Ireland when you've got Scotland?

Actually, Scotland was the add-on😂 Next time we’ll do give it more time👍

I love both Ireland and Scotland for photography, but Scotland is such a bucket-list place for any photographer.
Been going there, exploring and shooting in Scotland for decades, and it never gets old, EVER.
We look forward to some of your shots.
Cheers and best to you.

Hmm. I’ve been to both and prefer Ireland. But that may have something to do with the beer.

I was hiking in the Scottish highlands last August and my OM-1 with the 12-40 Pro lens did a great job. The one day we did a coastal hike on Loch Leven I switched to the 40-150 with the 2X TC because I was hoping for wildlife. Maybe otters, dolphins. Nope, mostly sheep and a lone grey heron. That day I used my iPhone for the landscapes and I got some nice stuff. Even one shot that was juried into a competition. That being said I wish I could have spent a few hours in a couple of spots with the OM-1 and the 12-40 or with my Z7 or Z9, (which stayed stateside). The phone shots were fine for digital posting but I wish I could do some large prints.
