I love mine. Was pricey but I love it. There are some cheaper when I looked and didn't look bad as I handled them at B&H.

I have had mine since 2008 and would not trade it for anything.
However a Nest Gimbal is quite nice and half the price (If it is still available) from China.

Adorama handles it.

Really Right Stuff PG-CC Pano-Gimbal Cradle Clamp

It allows for quick balancing adjustments for arca/swiss feet.

Adorama has it on b/o according to their site.

I've been using it for about five years and it's great for set-up and expedites lens changing. I have a similar quick release on the bottom of the gimbal and also on my ball head which also facilitates quick changes. Normally, speed means very little, but when I go from a big lens to a wide angle, or back, to accommodate my choice when time matters, it works well for me.

Venues in salt marshes or parks like YNP are good examples.

I found it was easier and cheaper to have two tripods , one for the gimbal and one for the ball head.

I do as well, but flying to destinations made my decision to carry one good tripod a little more palatable.

Many items have "quick releases" that some people prefer.

Yes. Pretty popular particularly in the RRS world.
