Started out at 3:45 am on a 109 mile trip one way, to the only Sand Prairie left in Missouri, it took a little longer than I thought it would 122 miles later I arrived ☹️ it was nothing like the photo in the book, the sun was up as was the wind, could not keep anything in focus , I wandered around for about an hour looking of plants that were different that what I find close to home , I found one dried up Prickly Pear but it wasn't even worth bending over to look at it.
Instead of going back home empty handed since I was close I took a side trip to Puxico, Mo. stopping when I saw some color, I found a few new WEEDS and collected a few for a session in the studio when I got back home.
BTW ALL plants I take home I burn after I photograph them.
292 miles later I was back home!!

Nicely done, Frank. A fine set.
Wow, wonderful set, Frank. The detail in the downloads is amazing. Love how the last one came together; a bit of motion but sharp focus preserved. Beautifully done.
