I took this on 4x5 film about 15 years ago in Cherry County, Nebraska. The rancher is the rider in the middle. Even though he owned several thousand acres, his ranch was comparatively very small. He owned a team of large Belgian horses used to put up hay. I helped him once but since he was running behind, we used his ancient tractors.

Thanks Frank. It's hard to see but there's a large black dog following the riders. I can't remember his name.

Jackm1943,
This shot is excellent.
It stirs memories and that makes it wonderful to me.
Thank you for sharing.
PS, put it in the B&W section as it is an outstanding example.

Thank you very much A'1776. Were you a farm kid also? I'll try to figure out how to put this in the b/w section also.

Thank you jederick. I can still remember dragging my gear up the hill and sitting there waiting for everyone to come thru.
