I took these 2 photos yesterday morning
with my d5100 with a af-s nikkor 55-300mm
1:4.5-5.6 ged fortunately I knew right were my subject was so i adjusted the camera accordingly.Everthing worked out well for me I like the results.This lens has worked out well for me the last year that I have owned it.

I had my focal length extended all the way to 300mm and my lens was on auto/focus.If i didn't know where he was the scenario might have been different.
