I thought I would tell the story of the light streaming thru the windows. I was fortunate enough to be able to get into the old Joliet prison in 2018 and wander around for a few hours and take all the pictures I wanted. This was thru a friend that was the bookkeeper for the Joliet Historical Museum. After that I was able to develop about 8-9 touring groups with all proceeds going to the museum until one of the “Urbex” guys got on the roof ( strictly prohibited” ) thus ending all of the very thorough tours I ran. Another prohibition was smoking in the prison. NADA!!
Anyway, of course someone was breaking the rules! I turned to make him put it out, but stopped when I noticed the great light rays streaming thru the smoke. I told him to finish but stay in place. Got my shot….then yelled at him to put it out!! Lol
