She had received sad news that morning from the Peninsular!
The main image was taken in a dark and cramped corridor of Woodchester Mansion, simply due to the siting of the large mirror. I guess it's a prop regularly used by photographers. The reflection added to the cramped feeling so I changed the background of that to a hall in the mansion. The stained glass is from Wimborne Minster in Dorset, UK. The Brunswicker is a guy I met on another shoot and who offered to pose in that uniform for me - regulars here have seen him previously. Feel free to critique if you would like to, I appreciate the help.

Amazing creation, especially the hall. High impact!

For the mood of sadness and loss, I'd like to see something other than a smile from the gentleman. Perhaps even a bit of blur? Your thoughts, Dave?

Well he’s as happy as a sand-boy Linda, he doesn’t know he’s a ghost! She’s the unhappy one. I’m sticking with that ‘cos I don’t have a suitable glum face for the guy, he’s always smiling - in fact that is a problem with reenactors, they all enjoy themselves too much!
Thanks for your thoughts, I do take them seriously really!

LOL on the constantly smiling re-enactors

I spent some time viewing this composite. I thought it was beautifully done until I found two glaring spots that you missed. I can’t believe you would post this image with those glaring mistakes. The white line by his shoes and on his left leg. I am so totally disappointed.
Just teasing you. Another well thought out composite as usual. 👌

😂I must admit I tired of it a bit Frank, saw the line and thought ‘only Frank will notice that’!

LOL. There appears to be a light source from lower right edge. That's what is shining on his leg. Now we must address the grass-looking lines just above that knee

But Frank refers to the line at the lower mirror edge I think Linda? And you’re getting a bit picky! It is the problem with composites, one either loses track whilst trying things or decides it doesn’t matter when, in fact, it does. Either way, with this one I wasn’t overjoyed and decided to call it a day - but hearing what people notice helps when it comes to being determined to get perfection. Still waiting of course (to get perfection, that is). My latest offering with the same lady is a style that helps all these problems - maybe I’ll stick with that!😊

Dave, you don't have to worry about criticism from me. Even if I was teasing you. As far as I am concerned your leaps and bounds above me. Looking at your composites makes me want to do better.

Critique is the most helpful way to keep on one’s toes Frank, I don’t object at all. This is a lazy composite and it shows!!

Oh, line by the shoe - now I have to think about whether that's his left leg or right leg, given there's a mirror involved. Way too complicated

My comment about the grass was tongue-in-cheek, of course, because I noticed none of that earlier. I'm blaming Frank for everything - now, and for at least two weeks into the future!

Beautifully done Dave. I tried a mirror reflection only once and after pulling out all of my hair and most of my beard I swore I'd never do it again. As for the white line, I missed it completely while I was enjoying the total picture

That’s ok Linda, I’m used to being blamed. I’m married.
