While Checking Our Farm Area...
With Z9, 500pF along, I saw the drake out in the sun looking resplendent.
As I looked up, a small bird flitted by. The Pacific Slope Flycatcher danced on a few branches, offering few photo ops. I managed a few.
As I headed toward some ruckus in the duck enclosure, I saw a Wilson's Warbler bouncing around in the trees above.
The creature in the duck enclosure turned out to be a fledging Robin. The parents were just overhead squawking up a storm. They stayed just out of clear photo range. I eased the baby out to the pool veranda where I managed a few snaps. The baby flew in to the overhanging trees where its parents were waiting. Crows around here prey on baby Robins, so I was concerned.
An interesting 10 minutes for sure!
