Have had the new lens for a week now. What a revelation! The world is a lot brighter. The colors are so much more vivid. I have a whole new outlook on life. My only regret is that I should've done this sooner.

The best part is, it's all free, covered by my medical insurance.

The whole process took only about 2 hours, with the actual operation taking about 20 min total. My ophthalmologist was wonderful, and very skilled.

I highly recommend this procedure.

Guess you had cataracts Congratulations!
It is amazing! Colors were so bright and saturated like Photoshopping the world
In my case after using glasses since age 7, now only reading non prescription glasses
Made me doubt of all color adjustments I made before surgery.
When only one eye surgerized, native eye was like a fuzzy sepia filter

Yes, the colors are really noticeable. I had my cataracts done one at a time and for a week I saw bright colors with my right eye and yellow tinted colors with my left. By the end of the week my brain adjusted the colors to be almost the same.

Was nearsighted, now 20/20. Used to need glasses to drive but I could read fine. Now I need glasses to read and can drive fine. In my 80s it's a pain inverting my glasses habits. But it's worth it on the whole. And instead of prescription glasses I can get the cheap ones from the hardware store. Which is good, because after inverting my habits, I misplace glasses a lot so I just buy a whole bunch and spread them around the house.

Color is in your brain, not in your eye. It might take a week or two for your brain to get used to your new lenses but you don't really have to worry until they replace your brain.

Might be interesting to go back and look at some of the PP that was done at the height of your cataract problem. I could actually see an increase in saturation and over hyped colors... as I was overcompensating for lack of true colors. One thing I think we can ALL agree on is that it is something that all of us who have this prob. should of had done a long time ago...
