The Church of the Good Shepherd on the shores of Lake Tekapo on the South Island of New Zealand is a small Anglican church used by various denominations. Built in 1935 as a memorial church to commemorate early settlers, it is one of the most photographed items in the country. Coming at sunset we overestimated the crowds . trying to find composition with elbow to elbow condition we eventially gave up and decided to come back after dinner to catch the Milky Way . There I say my first Aurora - southern light . And I had no clue . I thought that photographer - to my right has his red torch on.Or the car backing up .... It took a few exposures to realize what was going on - and the light changed to green and faded Technically I thought I can do better. Trouble with focusing , composition ( in the crowded place, light pollution with torches and cell phones but being there in this very moment was something I would like to share.
