Traveling out of Glasgow the other day, we saw a sign for Red Kite viewing. Took a turn found a lovely conservancy for helping maintain the Red Kite population, called the Argaty Kites, and saw this young male Kite flying by..best in download. Cheers.

We've got 1,000's around here (about 40 miles NW of London) and I've snapped 100's but never got one as good as this. It's so hard to get 'on top' of the birds and we don't have the height that Scotland offers for a nice background.
Envious.
(The Getty family own a large estate [Wormsley] just a few miles from me and allowed the re-introduction of the birds in the South in the late 80's / early 90's.)

Thank you very much John I took hundreds and believe me none of others came out good as this one this is a Random shot that came out great… they are so fast and they weave and dart its hard to keep the camera on them. Cheers
