Wow, that is a wonderful specimen. Beautiful set, Don. I didn’t know that the front end completely lifted to access the engine.

I believe that it is a 2009 Vette reskinned with "kit" 1962 fenders.
I have seen this done before. I also have a 2008 Corvette so I have some direct knowledge re this item.

Just to avoid any confusion, this a ('09 ?) later model Vette with all of it's amenities (which make for a more comfortable and faster ride) is made to look like a classic '62 Corvette. If you care to investigate further there are plenty of articles about it. They've even been featured in car magazines. The best of both worlds. The look of a '62 and the power and comfort of a later model Corvette. If you ever see one in person you can tell because it will have the appearance of a '62 but it's a larger car.

That's the way a 62 should look and perform. A 62 is the only Vette I've ever owned and at the time wasn't smart enough to keep it.
