Excellent little video of one of history's real moments. Funny how, over the years, it's been the unexpected and unplanned photos from space that most affected us.

My son's bedroom wall was the earth rise floor to ceiling.

Think where we would be today if we had kept the space program going.

Another day older and deeper in debt! (Tennessee Earnie Ford)

The oceans comprise 2/3rds of the Earth's surface and yet we know less about them than we do about the moon and Mars. Do we need to refocus and see what we can get from the oceans that would be a more immediate help to civilization? There are untapped resources in plant and animal life that could help feed the world population. New discoveries are happening frequently but my guess is that we spend less on ocean research than we do on space. While I think we should continue space research, I think we should put other areas of research first.

I do love this Earthrise photo first taken on December 24, 1968. The 45th anniversary was in 2013 when this video was published. For decades I had a copy that the Philadelphia Enquirer published as a glossy insert on the day after. Now I am not sure what i did with it. --Richard
