For Sarge69 and all the other UHH Veterans

We drove in for a funeral for my wife's cousin's father, a WWII Army Vet. He was a very humble man that never talked about his service including a purple heart and two bronze stars. He did talk about his brother's, (all 6 of them) service and praised them highly for it.
The reception was held at a local VFW. I was very impressed with the professionalism and attitude of all that were affiliated with the personnel involved. The flag ceremony was impressive to say the least.
Just thought I would share a few images from the day. Sarge69 might recognize all the emblems in one shot. I could only ID the Big Red One but I was Navy that grew up an Air Force brat!

All vets are brothers no matter what war they were in. I wear my hat with pride. But never had so many people tell me thanks for my service until lately. People must be begining to relize the sacrefice we made even if it was just being away from home and our love ones. Some of us were in real danger. But for others it was still a hardship Not seeing their kids grow up. I thank all veterans when ever I see them. And I see a lot at the vetrean clinic.
