My neighbor works in steel and is a master with torch and TIG. The Corsair appeared this morning. It is about 4.5 feet long. Before anyone comments it is intentionally out of scale. The rockets under the wings are .50 cal machine gun bullets. The objects in the second shot are made-up entirely of Harley-Davidson parts.

Just in case anyone is interested the Corsair is for sale for $5,000.00

Wow! Cool stuff! Does it make you feel like a slacker, Jack? It would if he were my neighbor!

Thanks for looking. A family friend made Ace in one during the War in the Pacific

No but it makes me more than a little jealous but then I think: He can't tell the difference between a GB Heron and a and a Western Bluebird. Oh by the way, he learned his welding skills in the Navy

I had a friend who flew one and survived the Bataan Death march.

I participated in two re-enactments of the Bataan Death March when I was stationed in the Philippines. I also built a house on the Bataan Peninsula and owned a banca boat that I used for a dive boat up and down the coast of the Peninsula for three years.

Lot of talent there, Jack. I love the Corsair. The Corsair is my favorite WWII warbird.

I served under a Command Sargent Major who survived the Death March. He hated any thing and any one Japanese with an intensity that was terrifying.
