Photographing where no one goes: The Slickrock Ocean

Since snow, cold and deep water were keeping us from our next objective, we changed gears and headed to "The Slickrock Ocean". Lower and hence warmer than where we had planned to hike, the wettest winter in Utah history was now our friend. The Slickrock Ocean is normally a difficult place to backpack in because of no permanent water sources. This years rains made that issue moot. We spent 8 glorious days hiking "The Ocean".

Very interesting country. #2 looks other-worldly. In the last, would that be the Colorado River hiding out in that canyon ????
