Deat Ivycreek,
Thanks for great captures & beautiful people playing a great sport ! Thanks again.
Nice photos. I like the "called strike 3-your out!" the best.

Great shots. I do have one question.
Why did you use 1/8000. You can stop the action at 1/2500 and lower the iso.
Just a thought and again wonderful pics

To be honest I was just playing around. I just got the camera and seeing what it can do. I haven’t had too much issue with rolling shutter but when I do it’s really noticeable. Normally I would set the shutter around 1200 for HS Softball a little higher for baseball.

These are great pictures!
I have used the Canon R6mk1 for the last 1.5 yrs and its been great but using only the mechanical shutter, as you said roller shutter is an issue with the R6. I'm thinking about servicing both my R6mk1's over the summer by Canon and I may ask them what would a trade-in (upgrade) cost be to the R6mk2. I did purchase the Canon R3 (stacked sensor) awhile back and my rolling shutter issues went away using electronic shutter but the downside is I have to cull thru zillion pictures now. Lots of keepers but it takes time looking for that peak of action shot, so many pictures in the burn pile!
Great work and welcome to the R6

I hemmed and hawed about getting the R3 in the end I just couldn’t budget the extra $. I really like my 1Dx but was getting long in the tooth. I can’t believe how much better the af is on the R3 mll will have to try mechanical shutter next time out …. Like you said way too much culling using electronic!
Really nice action images.
Great shots. I love the facial expression in the third one.

Ivycreek I just looked at your shots here once again. I truly like the work. You captured the feeling and emotion of the game. Again had to tell you good work again.
