I completely agree with you Kathy, the Ocotillo is one of the most difficult of the desert plants to photograph. The best way I've found to treat it is to use it in the foreground and have the flowers extending into the wild blue yonder.... or just ignore it.

Thanks, Jack. So often when shooting it against the sky, it sort of gets lost. If shot against a backdrop of a mountain or even other plants, it sort of gets lost. What I've tried to do here (and when I was in Big Bend), was to keep it from getting lost.
