Our Yard 5-2-2023. Warm day-72 F. Severe Clear bright day. Some of my shots were in dappled light; it is in a forest after all!
While escaping my wife's tirade over the recent plumbing cost I sat myself down near the now-dry puddle. Noted and photographed some Mason Bees. I saw a spider-Orb Weaver-type-ditty-bopping along the dry puddle bed. Grabbed a few shots for whatever.
Saw some movement to my left-what kind of bird are you!? Yellow-rumped Warbler-who would have thought? He stuck around for about 200 images-most very good. He loved to pose and did as evidenced by the few shots I have posted. He was about 25 feet away.
The poor spider-the Warbler spied that hapless critter and jumped on it before I had a chance to get the camera in position!
Any doubt about the yellow-rump? Also luv the little yellow spot on the top of his head.
