Fed-Ex vs UPS

Last spring I ordered prints and they were shipped Fed-Ex but delivered to the wrong address 5 houses down the road. Thank goodness it was a neighbor and I went after them. A week later I had another order of prints coming and found the pictures were thrown in the front yard by Fed-Ex. I have a rather long driveway (over 100 yards long) so it was just the fact the driver simply didn't want to drive all the way to the house. I e-mailed Fed-Ex and they said the case was closed because I did finally get my delivery. The next week I had an rather large package coming from Amazon and it was shipped UPS the driver was unable to get to my house because a big truck was blocking the road so he parked in the neighbor drive and carried the package in the rain to the front covered porch. On 4/27/2023 a order was shipped Fed-EX from Biltmore Estate and was delivered on the other side of town. The person that lives there E-mailed Fed-Ex the same day and they told her they would send a driver to retrieve my package. It had my name and phone number on it so 4 days later when Fed-Ex didn't show up she called me and I drove across town to get my package. Six days later Fed-Ex tells me they are reviewing my delivery and if I find my package call them even though they knew where it was 6 days ago. Hats off to UPS

It's funny, here we are better off with Fed-Ex than UPS. We have had several orders of perishable items that have sat on the truck all day in 100+ degree weather while we have watched the driver circling the area on the UPS tracking web site.
I think that you kind of get the 'luck of the draw' in delivery services, some places UPS is good and Fed-Ex sucks, and vis versa. We have also had pretty good service from USPS believe it or not.

Where I live, they are equally poor. FedX air is OK, FedX ground is not, and Amazon is head and shoulders above them both.

Basically it depends on each driver's attitude.....
I suppose some just don't care.

Not in the slightest.

I'm puzzled though, if it doesn't bother you, why did you make the comment?...

I’ll make a wild guess it was perceived to be a whine by some.
