Hi all, Kelly here.
I took a photography class WAAAAAY back in high school in the '70s... Black and white film, Pentax K1000, darkroom, the works.... Never did much photography after high school. Then along came digital.
I started with a Kodak point-n-shoot, then bought a Nikon D70s when they first came out. That lasted a couple years then I bought a used D200. Started doing senior photography for friends, bought a 70-200 2.8 pro ($$$$), used it for the senior shoots. Then I started shooting college baseball, then Nascar races.... Constantly learning and improving.
Got busy working and laid off the photography for several years, then I RETIRED!... Started traveling/hiking in the outdoors and wanted lighter gear, so I bought a D3500. LOVE the small size and I was able to quickly adapt to the lack of the semi pro external features I was used to on the D200. I'll take the lightweight small package and deal with the lack of features. I JUST LOVE MY D3500.

Now I do still do all of the above activities and have added birding, long exposure, astrophography, landscape, and wildlife with the little Nikon ....using my older AF-S lenses and I've acquired the current AF-P 18-55VR, 70-300VR, and a newly 10-20VR

Love perusing the photography forums to learn more

I have a private Instagram account for family to follow us while we travel and I have a public account for non-family photography (see below)

Looking forward to learning and contributing to 'The Hog'

Welcome to the forum, (and back to photography), Kelly! You do have a nice, tidy outfit there with the D3500 and light-weight lenses, covering such a wide range. I only recently acquired a D200 and have been enjoying the "look" of those CCD files. UHH is a great place to learn, and also to share the images you've been taking and the things you have learned along the way.

Welcome aboard. I had a D 200 but I broke it. I know I have a used D300 S but I love the D 200 just is sharp and the color balance was just excellent. I missed the 200. Also have a Panasonic Lumix Fz300.
Bruce.
