Quick research reveals that 105 replicas of that car were made. If Barrett-Jackson claim it's the actual race winner, I have no reason to doubt them (and that would certainly make the bidding higher), so curious minds...
The GT40 was actually a licensed Ford/Shelby new build and was campaigned for a few years and did win the 12hr Sebring race,but not in 1966/67.
