Last Friday a friend and I went hunting cactus. The desert south of Florence is quite lush, so that's where we headed. OK, there's one bird in the bunch (shot in one of my trees). Do you suppose admin will move it to the bird group because of one bird? Anyway, I'd love to get your reactions to these.
There's a pair of these in one of my trees. What are they? They're fast little buggers and can hover almost like a hummer.

You can see him a bit better in this one. He's still hiding, but I caught his fact a bit.

This is sort of the epitome of the perfect saguaro.

I love these tiny blue flowers. Do you know what they are?

Google calls the blue flowers Eriastrum Eremicum or desert woollystar.
On the 3rd image, the cactus looks embarrassed, like he was caught with his pants down. Well done!
the cacti are well done. The locust tree? I think could be a little sharper focus or maybe a larger depth of field, my opinion only.

You're so right. We laughed and laughed. I thought maybe I'd entitle it "Don't look!" Thanks.

The tree is a mesquite, and it's included only because of the little bird in it. Thanks for enjoying the cactus.

I'd say the birds are mockers. The tree looks like mesquite.

The tree is a mesquite. The birds are really small. Are mockingbirds that small?
Good looking cacti, Kathy!
Difficult to ID from those two tiny photos. If the breast is light yellow it looks like it could be a Western Kingbird. They have a high pitched twitter when talking.
Lovely cacti photos & flowers. #6 Saguaro is a beauty.

Thank you, Mike. It's a huge cactus forest there that's quite beautiful.
