Aurora Visible In Colorado Tonight

My phone was bombarded all afternoon and evening with alerts from Spaceweather.com about Coronal Mass Ejections on the sun coming towards earth. This went on from midafternoon to late this evening. I finally decided that I should head out to try to see if the Aurora Borealis was visible...

All of the shots were taken using my Canon R body with a 17-35 mm lens set to 17 mm at f2.8, with 10 - 12 second exposure times.

The three shots were taken at 117, 124, and 128 am the morning of April 24, 2023.

Good shots of this rarely seen phenomenon in Colorado. I remember when I was 10 years old in 1960, we were driving from Grand Junction to Glenwood Springs late one night and I looked out the window and saw them. My dad stopped the car and we got out and guessed it might have been a forest fire in the distance, but turns out it was these.
