This unscheduled stop of Western Canadian geese landed yesterday in our baseball field. There were literally hundreds of them. They didn't seem to be eating anything, just taking a break. I ran home, grabbed my camera, and grabbed a few shots through the holes in the chain-link fence. One thing you will notice in the foreground, especially on the base paths, are indistinguishable "globs". I probably need not tell you what they are but if you are a golfer or a baseball player you probably know what they are. They are one of the reasons why you never lick your golf ball to clean.
They stayed one day overnight and then headed off towards their final destination.

Canada geese please, for us birders, not Canadian. Fun shots!!
Fantastic captures Thanks
Good shots - we have them all over the place here too. In the spring right after the babies have been born they like to cause traffic to back up when they want to cross the roads. When the babies get grown then they stop with the road crossings. And I live near a city so you can imagine the danger they are in.
