I would like to update my Nikon P 510 to one of the above cameras. Particularly I would like improved focus speed and accuracy. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not being snarky, but whenever I’m faced with this dilemma, I type “compare (camera a) versus (camera b)” on my browser command line. You’d be surprised with the number of credible comparisons you’ll see.
Thanks for the suggestion. I did try that but the comparisons were not helpful as regards focus speed and accuracy. Hoped I be lucky and get a hog who had thoughts on this. It is the only poor area for my P510.
If the extreme superzoom lens is what you’re looking for, then consider the Nikon P950. It’s more expensive than either the SX-70 or the B700, but it is an excellent camera. It focuses quickly and accurately and has superb image stabilizing which is a must at extreme focal lengths. The lens is quite sharp, as well. But if you’re looking at a more modest price point, go for the SX-70.
Thanks for the reply. Weight is a significant part of the decision.
I use myNikon B700 as a backup for my Z50. The Nikon B700 takes some incredible images however, my wife's Canon SX60 HS, IMHO, outperforms the Nikon. I find it in general is easier to use and the lends is sharper and the focus is faster. Most important, the Canon is better in low light from my experience. I also feel that the Canon takes sharper images at the long range of the zoom which I don't see with the Nikon. All that said, I am seriously considering picking up a Canon SX60 HS in the near future. Both are very good cameras but, the Canon is a step better then the Nikon, from my experience.
