The Constitution guarantees the pre-existing right to bear arms.
The 10th amendment says hands off to the feds as all issues not spelled out in the Constitution belong to the states and the people.
Historic in my lifetime: In the early 1960s I worked as a young chemist at the hospital complex in Detroit. At times I volunteer Friday nights at Detroit Receiving Emergency. All gernieys had handcuffs! Stab and gunshot wounds were common and clean because the 22 caliber was common. Gun violence of today is not new, but in the 60s both Democrats and Republicans were in favor of restrictions.
In 1965, I moved to Charlotte North Carolina. The first Saturday there i went down town and there walking down the street was a dude with a six gun strapped to his side in broad daylight!! In contrast bottles of alcoholic beverages were required to be in a brown paper sack. Liquor by the drink was prohibited and you supplied the liquor and bought mix. Prostitution with odd restrictions of touching was semi-legal. In the south having a long rifle in the back window of a pickup truck was manly. Hand guns were not common in the population. Tennessee was not known for being advanced in their social common sense either.
Back then shootings did occur, man vs man arguments, but were not mass shootings, people mostly survived. Today shootings are not personal rather random based on wrong place at the wrong time, and the AR-15 is a k*****g machine. Instead of restricting the distribution of guns in general and specifically Army Assault guns the politicians, especially the Republicans toast the free ownership over a cold Ultra-Right Beer.
The USA is reverting to the wild west mentality among the worst country in the world and with p***e we stand alone with politicians who can not divide by 10 and so keep us with guns and no change to the world universal metric system. Republicans have fallen down the slope of common sense, they claim to be pro-life, yet are in favor of gun ownership and thus ease of violence. From the Reference article: "Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed an executive order strengthening background checks and called on the state legislature to do more. But we, as a state and a nation, need to do more." For sure we do!

Shootings are a direct result of the decades of decline in civility and value for life starting with the murder of babies being promoted calling human life to be worthless.
Children understanding that their life and the lives of others mean nothing.
Lack of respect for the law as written is promoted by libs and only following the law when it is convenient.
This is what we have going on.
Places with the strictest anti self defense laws have the most daily violence.
Self defense free zones are draws to those desiring to commit murder and mayhem.

Your post contains lots of your opinions but no facts that can be verified.
Usually, when I see a post like that, I deduce that you are simply writing down your feelings and beliefs.

Prove any of it wrong.
Your response is just 1984 double talk as always.

For one, you make a direct connection from a******n to murder, and that makes any debate with you a waste of time.
Have a blessed day and make sure you keep jesus happy. Remember, he loves you and if you don't obey him he'll condemn you to suffer in a place of fire where you'll burn for eternity.
Ah! Must be true love.

Ah! Must be true love.
No matter how nasty you are Jesus still loves you frank and you have the free will to reject him. But he’s the only one who can free you from the bitterness in your heart

As you just did here.
For your edification:
"Deduce: arrive at (a fact or a conclusion) by reasoning; draw as a logical conclusion.
Hoped that helped you.

So you decided to deflect from your own posting of feelings.

There is a direct connection as it is murder.
Duh.

If k*****g the unborn is not murder, than explain why somebody can be charged with double murder of a mother with an unborn child in some instances? Case in point, Scott Peterson.

To a lib laws are not absolute but must be interpreted through political expediency and what serves the party dogma best.
