Has anyone had any issue with printing a tax return with Turbo Tax? It recommended to save the file with ACROBATDC which I assumed was an upgraded PDF format.
So when I tried printing, the 1st page was so faded it was not legible & the rest were blanks. Tried printed other unrelated documents & got blank pages.
My PIXMA printer has plenty of ink & no maintenance issue. The device manager says no issue with the printer & prints a test page just fine.
The New PDF menu allows for a compatibility check but the options are limited to VISTA & Windows 8 (I'm running 10).
Never had a problem printing PDF files in the past & now I can't print anything.
I'm frustrated & furious - any suggestions?
First try to print some pdf files. Just get some pdf files not the ones from Turbo Tax and see if it prints correctly. Also print something else like a word document. If so then the problem isn't with the printer.

Get RID of (uninstall) Acrobat DC (annual subscription). Reinstall what you had before (ie Acrobat 10 Pro)!
If you don't have an older version of Acrobat reader, you can likely find one on FileHippo or other internet file site.

Another option is to do a screen capture of the document and print that...

You could also EXPORT the PDF to a Word document and Print from Word (or other compatible program).
Or try an alternative pdf reader. I swear by Sumatrapdf.
That's odd. I was able to "print" as a PDF and then print on paper without saving with ACROBATDC. If you can print it as a PDF, you should be able to print the PDF later.
In the print dialog uncheck the box for the “save ink/toner” and see if that gets you a bolder printing.

Sometimes with PDF's you have to check a box, I think it's under Advanced, that says Print as an Image. We have to do that at work sometimes.

But the pdf from turbo tax isn't an image.
It doesn't matter if it's an image or not. For some reason some PDF's won't print and checking that box has solved the issue and it prints out normally.

Never had this problem. I print a copy our TT returns every year. Currently I have an HP all in one.

I tried this. It's harder than you think ( at least for me). At every step of the way, it tries to upgrade you from the free stripped down version. When it finally installed, I was greeted with a PDF menu program (which I have NEVER used or seen.) Printed gave me a 1st page woefully faded & blank pages after that.
I uninstalled it again & ironically, the printable files on my desktop became Affinity photo files.

Tried that - blank pages.

You are correct. I wasn't paying attention when the dialog box appeared.
