Being retired, I was far too busy over the weekend to process some shots from Saturday when I spent some time on the High Line. It's a city owned linear park built on what was a raised spur of the New York central railroad system. The spur had been used primarily for the meatpacking district. In the second image, I caught a mother covering the ears of her princess when an ambulance screamed up 10th Av.
The third image I grabbed out the passenger window on our way home.
The rest of the images were taken this morning, when conditions were quite foggy, from the Esplanade behind my apartment building on the East river. They are pretty much self-explanatory. However, I had to include the one of the grandfather (I think) hobbling after his granddaughter, who wanted to take a shot of him with the tulips as a background.
Thanks again for sharing NYC through your good eyes, David!

Great captures of life in the Big Apple.
Terrific photos! I miss the 'big apple'.
Goo set. High Line is a great place for photography and people watching.
Nice set of photos--enjoyed!
Thanks for the interesting views of NYC. I share them with my brother who would move to NYC in a minute (so to speak) if his wife would agree. We really enjoy them.
Thanks, everyone. The city really is a bunch of interesting villages. Looking at it with a photographer's eye fills my retirement hours. I'm never bored.
