My favorite sandwich is a Cuban. All recipes talk about the importance of Cuban bread. I could never find any so I made my own. The big difference is that this bread is made with lard. It was very good!

Thanks for adding to my culinary to do list JustJill. I made Cuban sandwiches for my wife and I a couple of days ago and used some pretty good bread from a local bakery that supplies many restaurants in the area but I guess now I have to try again. I looked online and there actually is a Cuban bakery not too far away. Maybe I'll get lucky. Nice picture though, very good lighting.
