I used a MacBook Pro and also have a new iPad Mini (6th generation) and having seen sales for the Apple pen I got to wondering if it is possible to use the iPad, tethered to the MacBook, as an editing tablet when I use LR or PS (or whatever processing program).
That is to say, I am not talking about drawing on the iPad directly, but using it like folks used to use Wacom's tablets some years back (and I am sure many still use Wacoms today).
TIA for any insights anyone has

. Been able to do this for several years. I use my ipad as a graphics tablet with my mac often.
You can set it up as a graphics tablet, like a Wacom, and edit your images using the apple pencil on the ipad or you can set the ipad up as a second display and run apps such as topaz while running PS on the main display. This can be wirelessly or connecting via a usb-c cable. Very easy to setup. if your using a mac it's probably already setup ready to go. Once your ipad is turned on, it takes about 5 seconds to connect via the control panel icon located at the upper right toolbar. Here is a link showing how to set it up using a mac and ipad.
If you using a pc and ipad, you'll need a separate app that provides this same function. Here is a link for that.
