I've never tried ChatGPT, but it seems that it can produce recipes, depending on what you have in your house.

I sent him a list. He also wanted to know what electronics I have and the numbers for my bank accounts. He's going to send me a list of all I can buy with the money available. Internet people are so nice.

I would't trust ChatGPC to create recipes unless there were some humans to test them. I get recipes from sources that fully test recipes to make sure they work. That includes the America's Test Kitchen/Cooks Illustrated people, and the Food Network. I have tried recipes from the internet which appear to never have been tested since they just didn't work.

"60 Minutes" had a good segment on AI that included ChatGPT's ability to create recipe using on-hand food. The user had to hold their phone or laptop camera up to the open refrigerator so Chat could see what's in it. It looked like all the jars were turned so the labels could be clearly seen and I don't imagine any AI could recognize things stored in unlabeled containers. Although if it could, and there was a chunk of old cheese covered with green mold, I wonder what Chat would recommend?

Interesting. I said:
I have only peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken, cream of mushroom soup, potatoes, rice and pasta. Make a meal that uses some of these ingredients

It replied:
Chicken and Mushroom Casserole with Rice:
Ingredients: - 2 chicken breasts - 1 can of cream of mushroom soup - 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms - 1/4 cup of diced peppers - 1/2 cup of diced tomatoes - 2 cups of cooked rice - Salt and pepper to taste

Directions: 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). 2. Cook rice according to package instructions. 3. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. 4. Brown chicken in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through, set aside. 5. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until they release their liquid and are lightly browned. 6. Add peppers and tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes. 7. In a separate saucepan, heat up the cream of mushroom soup until warm. 8. In a casserole dish layer cooked rice, chicken, and vegetable mixture. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top. 9. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the top is lightly browned. 10. Serve hot and enjoy!

I might actually make this tonight :-)

It will not produce them for me. I can't even create a sign-in because I do not have a non-landline phone.
