Went out to visit the Eagle's nest this A.M. and found this Sandhill Crane family in the marsh about 200 yards from the nest. These Sandhill Cranes nested in this marsh about a month ago but this was the first opportunity I had to photograph them. My biggest fear is that the Eagles will come down and get them - sooner or later - I hope I am wrong, but this is nature after all.....
This is a pristine Florida marsh habitat well suited for both the Cranes and the Eagles ! This habitat is now rapidly dis-appearing here in Florida !
This is with Canon 80D and Canon 400 prime, hand held/braced, ISO 200, f8, medium crop, in bright slightly diffused mid morning light......

Great set Larry. Those colts are cute. Hope the Eagles don't make a meal of them
Great picture of the cranes!
Really nice shots, especially the Cranes.
I really like mom (or dad) out taking the kids for a walk.
Great shot!! Thanks for sharing
Great shot of the Crane and Colts!! Not easy to get one that well composed with the detail that you have attained.
Great family photo, Larry. Mom is clearly keeping a watchful eye on her two adorable little ones.
