It wasn't that long ago when firefighters were tasked with "how do we put out
fires in imported vehicles and race cars with magnesium engine blocks?

(We covered them with dirt and wet them down with special chemicals.)
Simple, is as simple, does. They will figure it out soon.

Yes, you could get at those engine blocks.
Open the hood.
The batteries on the other hand are under the car, under a steel floor protected from water.
It is very difficult to get enough water onto those under the floor batteries.

The standard of living doesn't matter much if you're not healthy. Air, water, and soil are polluted, and humans suffer because of that. The only thing that would be hurt by moving toward a clean environment is company profit. That's what it's all about: profit. Exxon knew in the 1970s that burning f****l f**ls was having a negative effect on climate. They buried that study.

"Air pollution can affect lung development and is implicated in the development of emphysema, asthma, and other respiratory diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Increases in asthma prevalence and severity are linked to urbanization and outdoor air pollution."

The standard of living doesn't matter much if you'... (show quote)

You clearly aren't getting it. We are just moving pollution from the U.S. where it is minimal to China where it is terrible. You are not getting clean air and water by China adding coal fired plants every day. You are not getting clean air and water by mining lithium in China. The net result is more pollution, not less.

Ask yourself this simple question. If f****l f**ls are so damaging to the environment then why has the life expectancy in the U.S. nearly doubled since the advent of f****l f**l use? You have bought into a false narrative that if we clean up our environment the world becomes a better place. But the reality is we have the most rigid environmental regulations in the world, so outsourcing our energy needs does not clean the environment, it makes things worse.
