Amy....These are lovely. Those (almost bronze plated) leaves look great against the red b/ground. A little bit of space round the leaf at RHS of frame would have made it perfect. I like the flame coloured tree in 3rd image and the fact that there's no sky. Autumn on steroids :-)...nice shot.
I love the fence image. I can see this as a cover for a book called "Don't Fence Me In", the story of an old and confused cross-dresser named Earlene. . .

Thanks to all of you for your comments. Since I can't draw a lick, I like to make some of my photos look like a painting. I never tire of taking pictures of that dogwood tree. The leaves I worked several different ways. They are sycamore leaves. They make great subjects because of their size and how prominent the veins are in them.
Love, love, love #1, agree with the comment regarding r hand of leaf. Very good series.
Like them all but really like #3. Great color and composition; I think the softened focus enhances the scene.
