A good morning at Lake Apopka!
#1 A favorite pet
#2 Glossy Ibis in beautiful light
#3 Grey Headed Swamp Hen with one of her two chicks
#4 Least Bittern there were two of them together. Maybe a mating pair. Maybe fighting. Sometimes that's hard to determine!
#5 Female Anhinga
#6 Sunbathing baby Gator, in the shade!
Another first-class set, Chief!
Keith, you are definitely correct about the "beautiful light". It's the kind of light that a good many of us would spend much time with post processing to get, but I absolutely know your shots came through the lens just as we see them.
Really nice work.
A fine set, Chief. That firs gator looks like a healthy specimen.
Nice set Chief. Great shot of the Ibis
Added on to my bucket list! Keep it up!

Thank you, Fred! I appreciate it!
Yeah, I do very minor post processing sometimes. A little light level adjustment sometimes to fill in deep shadows. Very rarely a bit of color saturation or color balance if it's way off due to very early morning light.
I only use Picasa which has limited capabilities compared to Photo Shop and all the others.
I'm just not interested in post processing.
In one of my recent posts, someone, voluntarily and without permission or request, took one of my photos and did some work on it and re-posted it into my post. I ignored it and didn't reply to him.
And he did what some people would call a pretty good job, I guess. But I didn't like it. It looked heavily edited and manipulated which is anathema to what I'm looking for. Exactly the opposite of what I'm trying to do!
Each to his own!!
Thank you, again, Fred. I'm glad you liked the set!

Thank you, Ken! I had to lighten him up a bit. It was like looking at him in the bottom of a well! Yeah, a big healthy specimen for sure!! And a beauty!!
