According to Wikipedia it was Trumpf. The name Drumpf dates back further but was likely the original family name.

While travelling through The Yukon we heard lots of stories about how Friedrich served horse meat at his restaurant. Miners used Dead Horse Pass to haul the gold through the mountains and horses were driven hard to the point of death. So there was always a ready supply of meat for the diners at Arctic House.

It would appear that Trump business practices were established long ago.

Imagine if birth control had been used way back then.

There wouldn't be a trump tower, or over 500+ trump businesses.

There wouldn't have been the need to dissolve the trump university or the trump "charitable" foundation.

trump wouldn't have asked Russia to find any missing emails.

The taxpayers wouldn't have had to fork over Millions of dollars to trump for vacations at trump's private resorts. Golf cart rentals and the costs of Secret Service stays at above market rates. Add to that the cost of the nearly weekly trips on Air Force One to Florida or New Jersey. (President Biden’s trips to Delaware are much shorter, and the lodging costs to the Secret Service are a whole lot less!)

There would have never been a need for the first trump impeachment, because trump wouldn't have talked to Volodymyr Zelensky about finding information about now President Biden.

There wouldn't have been an I**********n and attempted c**p on J****** 6, 2021.

There wouldn't have been a second trump impeachment.

trump wouldn't be facing the current State Criminal lawsuits in New York and Georgia, and at least 2 Federal Criminal Cases, not to mention the long list of other cases trump is currently facing as a result of his actions during his time of occupying the Oval Office.

I don't know, and I don't really care.

I am really quite apolitical. I never liked politics, and I do not understand why politicians fight so hard to win an e******n to a job that has nothing but grief associated with it. Empty unfulfilled promises because of an inability to move rocks uphill.

In fact, it really does not matter much to me to v**e because I don't follow the issues, and that would make my v**e rather meaningless; I would probably v**e on the basis of looks, style, speaking ability, etc... nothing related to policy. I believe in letting people do what they are good at, and since I am not good at politics in Canada I let others make those informed decisions and I accept the results (of e******ns, policies, laws, etc). I still cherish the ability to v**e, but also my right to choose whether I v**e or not.

Now, American politics is another beast entirely. I h**e to say it, but it is the most entertaining reality show going on TV. I know the personalities and issues in American politics bette than my own. Part of the entertainment is, of course, the befuddlement I have over the strong support of a despicable person like Trump. But then you already know a lot of my thoughts in that regard.

So yeah, Canada is muddling along just fine from my perspective. Our culture and economy are so strongly linked to your country that following what is happening in the US is actually foresight of what is coming in Canada. So watching you guys gets me ahead of the game.
