The Whitefish Point Lighthouse is one of 42 Michigan lighthouses on Lake Superior. In total, there are 129 lighthouses in Michigan, more than any other state - August 2008 - Sony A100, 18-70mm
And another one of those lighthouses on Lake Superior is the Copper Harbor Lighthouse, at the mouth of Copper Harbor, Michigan - August 2008 - Sony A100, 18-70mm

And speaking of Copper Harbor, it's also the starting point of US-41, one of the longest North/South highway in the nations, going from a few miles past Copper Harbor, to Miami, Florida - August 2008 - Sony A100, 18-70mm
